promouvoir le sport plaisir, qu'il soit pratiqué en loisir comme en compétition, auprès de l'ensemble de la population, sans distinction de sexe, d'âge, de statut social ou de capacité physique et plus particulièrement des acteurs du pays Salonais, qu'ils soient issus des milieux économiques, associatifs, étudiants, militaires ou du secteur public en général ; proposer une épreuve sportive de type Marathon, adaptée de sorte à ce qu'elle soit ouverte à toutes catégories de pratiquants ; favoriser, grâce à une organisation étudiée en ce but, participation au marathon d'amateurs pratiquants n'ayant encore jamais pris part à ce type d'événements ; promouvoir une image positive et dynamique de la ville de Salon de Provence et de sa proche région ; promouvoir les valeurs du sport, la solidarité, et le dépassement de soi
