organiser de manière régulière à Tours et en Val de Loire un grand rendez-vous européen du goût et de l'alimentation, rassemblant notamment les "trésors du patrimoine alimentaire de l'Europe"; promouvoir auprès du grand public et des professionnels intervenant dans le champ de l'alimentation : d'une part l'idée qu'il existe un patrimoine et une culture alimentaire européens basés sur un formidable héritage de variétés végétales, de races animales, de techniques et savoir-faire transmis de génération en génération; d?autre part l?idée que les éléments constitutifs de ce patrimoine vivant sont en prise directe avec des réalités territoriales, environnementales, culturelles, économiques et sociales qui déterminent leur préservation et leur transmission aux générations futures; ?uvrer à la promotion du patrimoine et de la culture alimentaire européen pour permettre leur appropriation par le plus grand nombre et leur valorisation dans une optique de développement durable et de créativité
