contribuer à la diversification énergétique, à la préservation de l'environnement en s'attachant à l'étude des pollutions induites par la circulation automobile par le recours à des carburants alternatifs, le Gaz Naturel Véhicules (GNV) et le biométhane carburant, qui connaissent déjà un développement certain dans différents pays développés ou émergents ; pour ce faire, oeuvrer en faveur du développement de la filière GNV / biométhane carburant en vue de l'amélioration de la protection environnementale en France et de la diversification énergétique ; rassembler et échanger des informations sur le GNV et le biométhane carburant ainsi que sur l'expérience acquise par les utilisateurs français et étrangers ; contribuer à l'élaboration de la réglementation applicable : ses moyens d'action sont prévus par le règlement intérieur
