promouvoir, développer et favoriser le recours à la médiation bancaire par tous moyens appropriés ; représenter ses membres auprès des autorités et organisations professionnelles tant nationales qu'Européennes et internationales ; proposer aux autorités compétentes toutes les mesures et réformes utiles ; offrir à ses membres un lieu d'échange, d'information et de formation ; formuler des recommandations et guides de bonnes pratique à l'usage de ses membres ; soutenir toute action dans l'intérêt général et en assurer la défense ; assurer les actions de communication externe et fournir sur une base consolidée des données statistiques et un rapport annuel ; entretenir un dialogue avec les organisations de consommateurs, les autres médiateurs de la consommation et plus généralement avec toutes organisations tendant à favoriser la médiation et, le cas échéant, développer des actions communes
